Banks continue to launch new initiatives during the pandemic. KeyBank is partnering with Itron to move into “smart city” financing to upgrade utilities infrastructures. Toronto-based RBC, meanwhile, has answered 1 million customer questions through “Ask NOMI,” an interactive function the bank added to its digital assistant in March.
In other news, Sequoia led a $14.5 million Series A round for Vise, an AI-powered platform that helps advisers create personalized portfolios in 30 seconds. Unlike many robo-advisers, Vise is marketing to advisers instead of consumers, and the company believes its solution can help wealthy individuals with complex finances.
