EXCLUSIVE – Add another credit card to list, or rather add four to the ever growing list of cards. This new collection of cards are coming from American Express’ co-brand relationship with Hilton Hotels.

Amex also announced today that it purchased Citi’s Hilton co-branded credit card portfolio, making it the exclusive issuer of all Hilton Honors co-branded credit cards in the U.S.

The past month has seen a host of credit card launches, from Uber’s card with Barclays Bank to British bank HSBC’s line of new cards. Most, if not all of these cards have been stressing on their unique set of cashback and rewards systems as the selling point. (More about this here).

According to today’s American Express announcement, the four Hilton cards are designed with benefits and rewards tied to the travelling consumer, as one would  expect given that they are all co-branded with Hilton Hotel.

This four-card portfolio consists of the Hilton Honors American Express Card (no annual fee), Hilton Honors American Express Ascend Card ($95 annual fee), Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card ($450 annual fee) and Hilton Honors American Express Business Card ($95 annual fee).

The cards range with benefits including  a varying number of bonus points towards Hilton Hotels’ loyalty program, Hilton Honors, and no foreign transaction fees to Pass Lounge passes (except for the no annual-fee Hilton Honors Amex Card).

In a statement today, Mark Weinstein, Hilton’s senior vice president and global head of customer engagement, loyalty and partnerships said:

We know travelers — and particularly our Hilton Honors credit cardholders — are looking for even more access, personalized benefits, premium service and, yes, the ability to earn even more points. In fact, the Aspire Card offers the most Hilton Honors Points we have ever offered for spending in our hotels.

The new products and the upgrades to the existing cards will debut in January 2018. Citi’s Hilton Card will automatically be transferred to American Express during that time as well.
