Tumblr’s FinTech tag — My 15-year-old daughter seems to be on Tumblr constantly. To get in on the Tumblr action (while still finding relevance to your banking innovation day job) try Tumblr’s FinTech hashtag.  You’ll find all sorts of alternative content on FinTech there.

GOMO — Is it worth it to advertise on mobile devices? Google, which has only a, uh, slight interest in mobile advertising, offers this handy calculator for estimating the value of mobile advertising.

Tweetdeck Alternatives — This year’s Super Bowl generated 24.1 million tweets, which is just another data point proving how important Twitter is today. While Tweetdeck has long been the go-to application for industrial tweeting across multiple accounts, there is a new crop of Twitter applications, such as HootSuite, TweetCaster, and Tweetbot. Bank Innovation uses HootSuite, which is robust, but can be confusing to set up, especially if you are using it across teams (as we are). In the words of the Mashable blog, “TweetCaster has a fast, simple interface that lets you post simultaneously to Twitter and Facebook and manage multiple accounts.” Finally, Tweetbot is a more customizable tool for multi-account tweeting.

Paytango — Whether you believe that biometrics is the future of digital security or not, Paytango is perhaps the only startup trying to make it a viable retail payments tool. It’s pay-by-fingerprint still has a long road to adoption, but you can get a taste for it here.
