canstockphoto3928377MasterCard has partnered with Microsoft to integrate its cloud-based payments platform with the tech giant’s cloud-based ERP solution, the companies said this morning.

The payment platform, Simplify Commerce, will allow the more than 20,000 Microsoft Dynamics users accept online and call center payments, as well as provide automatic updates on security and regulatory protocols. The software provides connectivity to acquirers worldwide through a single connection point, which means merchants won’t face payment hurdles when expanding globally.

Simplify will be a part of Dynamics core software, eliminating the need for customers to integrate a separate payments platform, Deborah Barta, Simplify Commerce global lead, told Bank Innovation. The partnership will especially benefit small and medium-sized merchants, she said.

Any merchant that leverages Dynamics is a great prospect for the Simplify technology. But having payments already integrated in your back-office functions, with single payments connection point, and compliance updates is especially useful for small and medium-sized merchants. We will continue evolving this technology with Microsoft in terms of offerings, to make it easier for any merchants to get their hands on latest innovations. The goal is to create a global, seamless payments platform.

The new technology  will be available in the coming weeks through Microsoft Dynamics in 13 countries: U.S., Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Iceland, Ireland, Mexico, New Zealand, South Africa, The Netherlands and the UK, with additional expansions coming soon, Barta said.
