The release of Apple’s new iOS6 for the iPhone propelled the Lemon Wallet app to No. 1 among financial services app downloads this week.

According to data analyzed by Bank Innovation, Lemon was the most downloaded financial services app this week compared to other financial services apps.

Here’s this week’s Top 20 Finance Apps for the iPhone as recorded by AppShopper. Numbers in parentheses indicate movement over last week:

PayPal’s mobile app for Windows phones was released this week, but that didn’t help PayPal from being ousted by Lemon Wallet as the most-downloaded financial services app for the iPhone, which leaped to the top spot from all the way down at No. 20 last week. Lemon’s app was updated Sept. 20, and renamed to drop the “.com.” The release of the iPhone 5 and iOS 6 should make this a heavy season for app updates.

Among the financial services iPhone apps that were updated this week were Belly, Pageonce, and LevelUp.

Capital One Mobile dropped four spots to No. 6 and Seeking Alpha Portfolio — last week’s most download app — dropped nine spots to No.15. Other than those changes, the Top 10 remained fixed.

Among the Top 20 apps, Fidelity Investments dropped six spots to land at No. 20, while LevelUp and Barclaycard — also big movers last week — exited the Top 20. Newcomer app Spending Tracker (updated Sept. 19) joined the Top 20 at No. 13.
