P2P Payments Platform Square Adds Bitcoin
P2P payment platform, Square is now allowing users to purchase bitcoin worth up to $10,000 in a week on its Cash App.
Square began testing the bitcoin option in November, and yesterday announced that users can now use the bitcoin buy/sell option. The option is not open to several states, including New York, Georgia, Hawaii and Wyoming, which have strict regulations around cryptocurrency trading.
Bitcoin is currently trading at $9,310.01, down 6.3% as of today 10.30 AM ET, according to Coinbase.
